Aizawl, 28 August (HS): A Myanmar national was arrested with a gold biscuit during a joint operation by the Assam Rifles and Mizoram Police in neighbouring Mizoram.

The special operation was conducted in the Zuangtui area of Aizawl based on specific intelligence inputs. During the operation, the security personnel recovered a gold biscuit weighing 82 grams from the Myanmar national.

According to Assam Rifles sources, the seized gold is valued at approximately ₹13.06 lakh in the market.

Following the operation, the arrested Myanmar national was handed over to Baungkawn Police Station for necessary legal action. The seized gold was subsequently handed over to the Customs Department for further investigation and departmental proceedings.------------
