Prayagraj, 28 Aug (HS): This is the beauty of India that all
festivals are celebrated together by Hindus and Muslims. For a decade, Rajni
Handa, the adopted sister of social worker Syed Mohammad Askari, used to tie
Rakhi every year on Rakshabandhan. Two years ago, she shifted to Rajasthan and
started sending Rakhi from there. This year too, not only did she send Rakhi
for Askari, but also sent a pearl bracelet for his wife. Meanwhile, SP Mahila
Sabha's Metropolitan President Manju Yadav also blessed Askari by applying
tilak on his forehead and tying a thread of love on his wrist. Gauri, Rinki
Sen, Geeta Kushwaha also tied Rakhi to Askari for the first time, considering
him as their brother. Askari accepted their love and respect by giving them
cash along with sweets and gifts.
