Varanasi, 28 Aug (HS): Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS)

General Secretary Dattatreya Hosabale said that the Sangh has a tradition of

turning strangers into acquaintances and acquaintances into friends. These

three concepts of freedom, equality, and fraternity have been accepted in

various forms by many countries around the world. In nations where only freedom

was prioritized, licentiousness became rampant. While countries like Soviet

Russia prioritized equality, this idea also failed to survive. In Indian

culture, fraternity is linked with freedom and equality. The foundation of

these three elements is social harmony.

Sarkaryavah was addressing the Rakshabandhan celebrations

held at the Sangh's Kashi Madhya Tilak Nagar here on Friday. Speaking as the

keynote speaker at the Dr. Sampurnanand Sports Complex in Sigra, Sarkaryavah

Dattatreya Hosabale quoted a verse from Yoga Vashishtha and said that meeting people

who are not our relatives daily increases closeness and they become our

relatives. However, abandoning the practice of closeness breaks the bond of

affection and brotherhood. Giving the message of social harmony to the

volunteers and women present, Sarkaryavah said that our unity and oneness are

the basis for the preservation and promotion of world brotherhood. India has

adopted social harmony to protect freedom and equality by following a just path

and making brotherhood the foundation.

He said that in Hindu culture, the entire world is accepted

as one family. I and all living beings are parts of the same God; this feeling

should be accepted with a generous character. Distrust among relationships

weakens the bond of affection of Raksha Bandhan. If there is division among us,

the opposing side benefits. When we all discuss world brotherhood, its

foundation is the verse from the Bhavishya Purana, Yen baddho Bali Raja

Danavendra Mahabalah. Ten tvambhibadhnami raksha ma chal ma chal. Which

means that just as King Bali was bound in the bond of affection, I too bind you

in the bond of affection. May this bond remain stable. The current instability

in families and society is due to selfishness. Selfishness should not become a

vice within humans.

While paying tribute to the citizens who lost their lives in

the Nepal tragedy on behalf of the Sangh Parivar, the Sarkaryavah said that the

Sangh Parivar also expresses its deepest condolences to those who have been

affected by this disaster.

Before this, Dr. Hemant Gupta, Sanghchalak of Kashi Madhya,

Pradeep, City Sanghchalak of Tilak Nagar, Sarkaryavah tied a Raksha Sutra to

the saffron flag. The program was conducted by City Karyavah Satyapal.

Area Pracharak Anil, Area Service Chief Yudhveer, State Karyavah Murali Pal,

Co-Provincial Karyavah Dr. Rakesh, State Pracharak Ramesh, Independent Charge

Ayush Minister of the State Dr. Dayashankar Mishra Dayalu, Mayor Ashok Tiwari,

etc.
