New Delhi, 28 August (H.S.): Gold prices continued to trade lower in the domestic bullion market on Friday, while silver rates remained unchanged for the fifth consecutive day. Following the decline in gold prices, 24-carat gold was trading at between Rs 1,62,970 and Rs 1,63,120 per 10 grams across most bullion markets in the country. Similarly, 22-carat gold was being sold in the range of Rs 1,49,390 to Rs 1,49,540 per 10 grams. With no change in silver prices, the precious metal continued to trade at Rs 2,59,900 per kilogram in the Delhi bullion market.

In Delhi, 24-carat gold was trading at Rs 1,63,120 per 10 grams, while 22-carat gold was priced at Rs 1,49,540 per 10 grams. In Mumbai, the country’s financial capital, 24-carat gold was selling at Rs 1,62,970 per 10 grams and 22-carat gold at Rs 1,49,390 per 10 grams. Similarly, the retail price of 24-carat gold in Ahmedabad stood at Rs 1,63,020 per 10 grams, while 22-carat gold was priced at Rs 1,49,440 per 10 grams.

In Kolkata, 24-carat gold was trading at Rs 1,62,970 per 10 grams and 22-carat gold at Rs 1,49,390 per 10 grams. In Bhopal, the price of 24-carat gold stood at Rs 1,63,020 per 10 grams, while 22-carat gold was being sold at Rs 1,49,440 per 10 grams.

In Jaipur, 24-carat gold was trading at Rs 1,63,120 per 10 grams and 22-carat gold at Rs 1,49,540 per 10 grams. In Patna, 24-carat gold was priced at Rs 1,63,020 per 10 grams, while 22-carat gold stood at Rs 1,49,440 per 10 grams. In the Lucknow bullion market, 24-carat gold was trading at Rs 1,63,120 per 10 grams and 22-carat gold at Rs 1,49,540 per 10 grams.

Like other states, bullion markets in Karnataka, Telangana and Odisha also witnessed weakness in gold prices during early trading on Friday. In the capitals of these three states—Bengaluru, Hyderabad and Bhubaneswar—24-carat gold was trading at Rs 1,62,970 per 10 grams. Similarly, 22-carat gold was being sold at Rs 1,49,390 per 10 grams in the bullion markets of all three cities.
