Guwahati, 28 August (HS): Assam Chief Minister Dr. Himanta Biswa Sarma on Friday extended heartfelt greetings and best wishes to the people of Assam on the occasion of Rakhi Purnima.

In a social media post, the Chief Minister said the festival celebrates the unbreakable bond of love, trust and affection between brothers and sisters.

Dr. Sarma said the love and trust of sisters are invaluable and reaffirmed his government’s commitment to working with dedication for the safety, dignity, empowerment and bright future of every woman and girl in Assam.
