Certificates will be secured on DigiLocker with Apaar ID,

and scholarship and scheme benefits will be available directly

Lucknow, 28 Aug (HS): Additional Chief Secretary, Secondary

Education, Partha Sarathi Sen Sharma, stated that the Uttar Pradesh Board of

Secondary Education is currently processing the advance registration for

students in grades 9 and 11, and filling out examination application forms for

students in grades 10 and 12. The board has decided to promote the system of

One Nation, One Student ID, or APAAR ID, to keep the academic

details of all students in the state transparent, error-free, and secure.

Apaar ID is a 12-digit permanent digital identity that

secures a student's credit and report cards across their entire educational

journey (from school to higher education) in one place. This will digitally

secure all student certificates (mark sheets, transfer certificates, etc.) on

DigiLocker, eliminating the risk of future document loss or damage. Based on

accurate details and data, students can access scholarships, welfare schemes,

and educational facilities seamlessly.

Council, stated that although providing Apaar ID details is not mandatory when

filling out registration and application forms, in the larger interest of

students and to secure their digital educational future, the Council makes a

special request to all school principals, teachers, and parents to ensure that

all parents create Apaar IDs for their children and enter them in the advance

registration and examination forms. School administrations should provide

guidance and full support to parents in this endeavor. He added that creating

Apaar IDs is a very simple and secure process, completed with parental consent.

Principals should strive to ensure that 100% of students' Apaar IDs are entered

before the final date for advance registration, so that students across the

state can be digitally empowered.
