New Delhi, 27 August (H.S.): The Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) paid a heartfelt tribute to A. Balakrishnan, president of Vivekananda Rock Memorial and Vivekananda Kendra, following his demise, saying that he devoted his entire life to spreading Swami Vivekananda’s message of universal brotherhood and tolerance and to serving the nation and society.

RSS Sarsanghchalak Dr. Mohan Bhagwat and Sarkaryawah Dattatreya Hosabale, in a joint condolence message, said, “Balakrishnan Ji was among the early-generation volunteers of the dedicated lifelong volunteer corps of Vivekananda Kendra in Kanyakumari, working to carry forward the mission of Swami Vivekananda. With his passing, Hindu society has lost a great soul. The void created by his departure for the heavenly abode will be extremely difficult to fill. We offer our humble tributes to the departed Balakrishnan Ji and pray to the Almighty to grant this noble soul the highest spiritual attainment and moksha.”

They said Balakrishnan was a living embodiment of the ideal of Karmayoga. He dedicated his entire life to propagating Swami Vivekananda’s message of universal brotherhood and tolerance and to the service of the nation and society.

The RSS said his simple way of life, selfless service, sacrifice and unwavering commitment to Hindutva would continue to inspire the people of India for generations to come.
