Jorhat (Assam), 27 August (HS): Police have arrested three persons in connection with the robbery at a temporary Water Resources Department camp in Jorhat.

During raids at the houses of Krishnamoni Bora, son of Namghariya, Rajen Bora and Nathu Bora in the Malou Khat area, police recovered materials allegedly stolen from the Bhogdoi embankment repair site. Some of the stolen materials were reportedly found buried in pits inside the houses.

The materials were allegedly looted after a group attacked workers engaged in the embankment repair work. Further investigation is underway.-----------
