London, 27 August (H.S.): Liverpool will face Tottenham Hotspur in the third round of the 2026-27 Carabao Cup, while Manchester United have been drawn against Brighton & Hove Albion. The third-round draw could see as many as six Premier League sides face each other.

The nine English clubs competing in European competitions — Arsenal, defending champions Manchester City, Manchester United, Aston Villa, Liverpool, Brighton & Hove Albion, Sunderland, Bournemouth and Crystal Palace — will enter the competition in the third round.

Manchester City will take on Norwich City, while last season's runners-up Arsenal will face Ipswich Town. Aston Villa have been drawn against Coventry City, while Sunderland will meet Hull City.

Chelsea could face Leeds United, provided they defeat Luton Town on Thursday. Newcastle United will take on Millwall, while Everton will face Wolves.

To avoid clashes with UEFA competition fixtures, the third-round matches will be played during the week from September 7 to 14.
