New Delhi, 27 August (H.S.): A special event was organised in Delhi to mark five years of Pieric Fillon, Head of Research and Innovation at Adidas Europe, in India. The event featured discussions on his five-year association with India and his experiences across research and innovation, sports, technology, culture and business.

Former Union Minister Meenakashi Lekhi, ambassadors and senior diplomats from several countries, as well as prominent figures from the industry, media and social sectors, attended the event. The presence of diplomatic representatives from various countries gave the programme an international character.

Speaking on the occasion, Pieric Fillon shared his experiences from his five years in India. Describing India as a country rich in diversity, culture, talent and energy, he said the five years he had spent in the country had been particularly meaningful and memorable. India, he added, had given him an opportunity to learn something new every day.

He said India’s young population, rapidly evolving economy and expanding innovation ecosystem make the country one of the most attractive destinations in the world for working and developing meaningful partnerships. He also highlighted India’s changing business and innovation landscape as an important part of his experience.

The event also focused on various aspects of Fillon’s professional association with India. India’s growing potential in research and innovation, as well as in sports and technology, and opportunities for collaboration at the global level were highlighted during the discussions.
