New Delhi, 27 August (H.S.): In view of the prevailing flood situation in Nepal, the Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) has established a 24-hour control room in Delhi to assist people in need who are stranded in the flood-affected country.

According to the ministry, the control room can be contacted through several channels. The telephone numbers are +91 11 2308 8718 and +91 11 2308 8719. For WhatsApp calls or messages, people can contact +91 9968291988. The control room can also be reached via email at [situationroom@mea.gov.in](mailto:situationroom@mea.gov.in).

People can also contact the Indian Embassy in Kathmandu through its emergency contact numbers and WhatsApp. The numbers are +977 985 131 6807, +977 970 910 7500 and +977 981 032 6117.

In addition, several helplines operated by the Nepalese authorities are available for assistance. Meanwhile, 21 Indian nationals from Tamil Nadu who were on a Kailash Mansarovar pilgrimage have been rescued in Nepal.
