
Kokrajhar (Assam), 27 August (HS): Bodoland Territorial Council (BTC) Chief Executive Member Hagrama Mohilary on Thursday paid floral tribute to the mortal remains of Bijit Gaura Narzary, Deputy Speaker of the Bodoland Territorial Council Legislative Assembly (BTCLA), who passed away on Wednesday.
Mohilary expressed deep grief over Narzary’s untimely demise, describing it as an irreparable loss to society and public life. He conveyed his heartfelt condolences to the bereaved family, friends, colleagues and well-wishers and prayed for the departed soul to rest in peace.
Narzary’s mortal remains were brought to the BTC Secretariat in Kokrajhar on Thursday morning, where a large number of people gathered to pay their last respects. BTC Deputy Chief Rihon Daimary, Principal Secretary Mukesh Chandra Sahu, BTAD IGP Bijoy Giri Kuliga, Additional Principal Secretaries Gopinath Bargiary and Pranjit Kumar Wary, the president of the Bodo Sahitya Sabha, Executive Members, MCLA Secretary, Kokrajhar Deputy Commissioner, Senior Superintendent of Police, senior officials, employees and other dignitaries paid floral tributes.
Narzary represented BTC Council Constituency No. 26, Darangajuli, and was serving as the Deputy Speaker of the BTCLA. His untimely demise has cast a deep shadow of grief over society and the public sphere.
Those present at the condolence gathering remembered Narzary’s dedication to public service and his contribution to public life. BTC leaders and officials expressed solidarity with and condolences to the bereaved family during this difficult time.---------
