Gorakhpur, 27 Aug (HS): Indian Air Force Chief Air Chief

Marshal Amarpreet Singh's inspiring visit to the village of Mathabari in

Gorakhpur energized education, rural development, youth aspirations, women's

empowerment, and the resolve to build the nation. On this occasion, he visited

the Ramashraya Gram Vikas Kendra and Saraswati Gurukul and engaged in cordial

and meaningful interactions with students, children, and the rural community.

Students and villagers from over 50 villages participated in the program.

A major highlight of the tour was the inauguration of the

Vagdevi-Gyanvardhan Kendra, a digital library established for rural

girls. This center is an important initiative to connect rural girls with

modern digital resources, books, knowledge, and quality education. The

Vagdevi-Gyanvardhan Kendra has been developed not just as a digital

library, but as a medium to unleash the dreams, talents, confidence, and

potential of rural girls.

Addressing the students, the Air Force Chief said that the

purpose of education is not just to score good marks in exams. Along with

education, it is also essential to develop values, character, discipline,

responsibility, and a sense of dedication to the nation. He called upon the

youth to be proud of their Indian identity and develop themselves as

responsible and true Indian citizens. He especially urged the children of Gen

Alpha and the youth to be prepared for future challenges. He said that

technology is changing rapidly and today's generation is moving forward in the

technological era, but along with technical proficiency, it is equally

important to possess human values, sensitivity, and strong character.

The students of Saraswati Gurukul posed many inquisitive and

thought-provoking questions to the Chief of the Air Staff regarding education,

life, leadership, national service, and the future. He answered the students'

questions with ease, humor, and interesting examples. His dialogue made even

complex topics simple and accessible to the children. This interaction was a

deeply inspiring and unforgettable experience for the students.

The Air Force Chief urged the youth to set clear goals,

formulate strategies for them, and strive tirelessly in a disciplined manner,

and not to waver from their resolve even in difficult circumstances. He placed

special emphasis on the spirit of one dream, one goal, one commitment,

and a purposeful life as the key to success. He also inspired the rural

community to prioritize national interest and to embrace values like

solidarity, social harmony, honesty, discipline, and respect for the law. He

said that nation-building is not the sole responsibility of any one institution

or class, but the collective responsibility of every citizen.

Established with the spirit of combining gratitude to one's

birthplace and homeland with public service, the Ramashraya Gram Vikas Kendra

was inaugurated by the Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh in 2023. The center has

become a hub for various initiatives in rural education, health, digital

literacy, women's empowerment, and community development. Facilities include

banking, safe drinking water, community health services and free medicines, a

school up to grade 7, digital and library facilities, a computer center, mango

and guava orchards, women's skill and self-reliance programs, and spiritual and

inspirational activities. Its goal is to empower rural communities toward a

better life through education, opportunity, and self-reliance.

The Air Force Chief commended the Center's work and its

efforts to uplift various sections of the village. He stated that true rural

development is possible only when children, youth, women, girls, and the entire

community have equal opportunities to thrive.

Addressing the program, Sanjay Shrinet, Chairman of the

Uttar Pradesh Public Service Commission, highlighted the purpose and

significance of life. He said that it is not just about being born that

matters, but rather the purpose with which a person lives their life and the

contributions they make to society and the nation. Citing the example of the

life of Shaheed-e-Azam Bhagat Singh, he urged youth not to limit their talent,

knowledge, and energy to personal achievements but to contribute to the

building of society and the nation.

The participation of students and villagers from over 50

villages gave the event a comprehensive public dialogue. Senior officials,

including Gorakhpur Division Commissioner Indra Vikram Singh, ADG Police Ram

Kumar, District Magistrate Deepak Meena, and SSP Dr. Kaustubh, graced the

event. By establishing dialogue with the residents, the officials strengthened

coordination and communication between the administration and the public.

The Chief of Air Staff's visit went beyond being a mere

formal event, but instead became an opportunity for an inspiring dialogue

between the new generation and the leadership of nation-building. The

inauguration of the Vagdevi-Gyanvardhan Kendra, the intimate

interaction with students, the value-based education of Saraswati Gurukul, and

the widespread participation of the rural community made the entire event a

significant initiative towards education, empowerment, and nation-building.

The Vikas Kendra's upcoming plans include numerous

initiatives related to education, skills development, women's empowerment,

digital capabilities, health, and community development. The goal is for this

center to become a lasting symbol of social responsibility, human dignity, self-reliance,

and national service. The core message of the entire event was to dream big,

set clear goals, move forward with complete commitment and discipline, make

character and values the foundation of life, and, while keeping national

interest paramount, use one's knowledge, talent, and energy to make life

meaningful for society and the nation.
