Lucknow, 26 Aug (HS): Bharatiya Janata Party state president

and Union Minister of State for Finance Pankaj Chaudhary on Wednesday launched

a scathing attack on the Samajwadi Party's new announcements. He said that the

Samajwadi Party has once again come before the public with a box of false

promises to hide its past sins and failures.

Pankaj Chaudhary said that the Samajwadi Party, which faced

serious questions about law and order and women's safety during its rule, is

now talking about women's dignity, safety, and development. He questioned why

concrete steps were not taken to ensure women's safety and improve facilities

like hospitals and colleges while in power.

He said that the people of Uttar Pradesh have not forgotten

the SP's past record of broken promises and governance. It is no longer

possible to mislead the public with empty promises and election lollipops. In

2027, the people will answer the SP for its politics and past record.

BJP State President Pankaj Chaudhary said that Samajwadi

Party National President Akhilesh Yadav is today making big claims about

women's respect, safety, and empowerment. He is also announcing an annual grant

of Rs. 40,000 to women. But the mothers and sisters of Uttar Pradesh want to

ask him a simple question: will women's respect and safety be ensured simply by

making announcements before elections?

Chaudhary said that with the Assembly elections approaching,

the Samajwadi Party is making big promises to woo women voters. However, before

making these big promises, SP chief Akhilesh Yadav should explain why there was

an atmosphere of fear regarding women's safety when the Samajwadi Party was in

power in the state. What kind of regime was that, under which daughters and

women were afraid to leave their homes, and law and order in Uttar Pradesh was

completely in shambles.

Pankaj Chaudhary said that Akhilesh Yadav is talking about

women's safety today, but he should explain why effective action against crimes

against women and daughters was lacking during his government. Isn't it true

that criminals and those with political patronage were emboldened at that time?

He alleged that during the SP government, police stations failed to act on

complaints from victimized women.
