The long-running spat between actresses Taapsee Pannu and Kangana Ranaut has once again come into the spotlight, with Taapsee calling out the media for repeatedly raising questions about their past differences.

During the trailer launch of her upcoming film ‘Gandhari’, Taapsee was asked about Kangana and their long-standing verbal exchanges. The actress said the controversy would have ended long ago if the media had stopped repeatedly questioning both actors about it. She made it clear that she had no intention of prolonging the old war of words.

Responding to questions about Kangana’s recent remarks, Taapsee said, “Why don’t you people let this matter end? The moment you stop asking both of us these questions, the issue will automatically come to an end. You all seem to enjoy watching this, which is why you keep asking the same questions. If you stopped asking such questions, this matter would have ended long ago.”

Taapsee’s remarks have since triggered fresh discussion surrounding the old controversy.

The dispute between the two actresses dates back to 2019, when Kangana’s sister Rangoli Chandel referred to Taapsee as a “cheap copy” of Kangana. More recently, Taapsee spoke about her distance from Kangana in an interview, saying that she had never met her and that their respective opinions reflected their individual upbringing and perspectives.

Kangana subsequently responded through an Instagram Story, again calling Taapsee a “cheap copy” and alleging that the actress had crossed a line by mocking her parents and upbringing.

Taapsee’s latest comments have now brought the long-standing controversy back into the spotlight.
