
New Delhi, 26 August (H.S.): Vice President C.P. Radhakrishnan and Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Wednesday expressed deep grief over the fatal road accident in Telangana’s Suryapet district. Both leaders conveyed their condolences to the bereaved families and prayed for the speedy recovery of those injured.
Expressing his grief in a post on X, Vice President C.P. Radhakrishnan said he was deeply shocked by the tragic road accident in Suryapet. He extended his heartfelt condolences to the families who lost their loved ones and wished a speedy recovery to the injured.
Prime Minister Modi also expressed his anguish over the accident in a post on X. He said his thoughts were with the families who had lost their loved ones in the tragedy and prayed for the early recovery of all those injured.
According to reports, the accident occurred in the early hours of Wednesday near Kodad in Telangana’s Suryapet district, on the Hyderabad-Vijayawada National Highway. A private bus travelling from Hyderabad to Eluru collided with a truck loaded with iron rods that was parked by the roadside.
Six people were killed in the accident, while more than 20 passengers sustained injuries.
