Kolkata, 26 August (H.S.): A Durga Puja organised by the Hindu Mahasabha in Kolkata will showcase the life and political journey of West Bengal Chief Minister Suvendu Adhikari, organisers said on Wednesday.

The puja, themed ‘Nandigram to Nabanna: Bubai’s Joyjatra’, will chronicle the political battles and public life of Adhikari, popularly known as ‘Bubai’, through models, flex panels, photographs, murals and documentary presentations.

Hindu Mahasabha state president Chandrachur Goswami said the pandal would depict different phases of Adhikari’s journey, including his childhood, entry into politics, struggles during various political movements and his eventual emergence as the Chief Minister of West Bengal.

A miniature portrait of Suvendu Adhikari will also be displayed at the pandal, along with a documentary highlighting his political struggles and major milestones in his career. The entire installation is being designed as a visual narrative combining historical references with artistic elements.

The Durga Puja, being organised at Ruby Crossing, has already seen the commencement of preparations. The pandal will also incorporate traditional Bengali Patachitra motifs and other artistic representations.

The organisers expect the distinctive theme and elaborate visual presentation to attract a large number of visitors during the Durga Puja festivities.
