New Delhi, 26 August (H.S.): Prime Minister Narendra Modi underscored the importance of mutual learning, listening to one another and conducting oneself selflessly. On Wednesday, Prime Minister Modi shared a Subhashitam on X, explaining that those who remain willing to learn from others and listen to them attentively earn the appreciation of the wise and attain happiness and prosperity in life.

The Subhashitam shared by the Prime Minister reads: “ज्ञानवृद्धाः प्रशंसन्ति शुश्रूषन्तः परस्परम्। विनिवृत्ताभिसन्धानाः सुखमेधन्ति सर्वशः॥”

Its meaning is that those who are eager to learn from one another and listen to each other are praised by the learned. Such individuals remain free from selfish motives and hidden interests. By engaging in mutual cooperation and dialogue with a selfless approach, they attain happiness and progress in every sphere of life.

Through the Subhashitam, the Prime Minister highlighted the values of dialogue, humility, mutual learning and selfless conduct embedded in India’s rich knowledge tradition.
