
New Delhi, 26 August (H.S.): Gold prices witnessed a marginal decline during early trading in the bullion market on Wednesday, while silver prices remained unchanged for the third consecutive day.
Gold prices fell by Rs 220 to Rs 240 per 10 grams across most bullion markets in the country. Following the decline, 24-carat gold was trading between Rs 1,63,740 and Rs 1,63,890 per 10 grams in most major markets. Similarly, 22-carat gold was being sold in the range of Rs 1,50,090 to Rs 1,50,240 per 10 grams.
With silver prices remaining unchanged, the precious metal continued to trade at Rs 2,59,900 per kilogram in the Delhi bullion market.
In Delhi, 24-carat gold was trading at Rs 1,63,890 per 10 grams, while 22-carat gold was priced at Rs 1,50,240 per 10 grams. In Mumbai, the country's financial capital, 24-carat gold was trading at Rs 1,63,740 per 10 grams, while 22-carat gold was priced at Rs 1,50,090 per 10 grams. Similarly, the retail price of 24-carat gold in Ahmedabad stood at Rs 1,63,790 per 10 grams, while 22-carat gold was priced at Rs 1,50,140 per 10 grams.
Among other major cities, 24-carat gold was trading at Rs 1,63,740 per 10 grams in Chennai, while 22-carat gold was priced at Rs 1,50,090 per 10 grams. In Kolkata, 24-carat gold was also trading at Rs 1,63,740 per 10 grams and 22-carat gold at Rs 1,50,090 per 10 grams.
In Bhopal, 24-carat gold was priced at Rs 1,63,790 per 10 grams, while 22-carat gold was selling at Rs 1,50,140 per 10 grams.
In Jaipur, 24-carat gold was trading at Rs 1,63,890 per 10 grams, while 22-carat gold was priced at Rs 1,50,240 per 10 grams. In Patna, 24-carat gold stood at Rs 1,63,790 per 10 grams, while 22-carat gold was available at Rs 1,50,140 per 10 grams. In the Lucknow bullion market, 24-carat gold was trading at Rs 1,63,890 per 10 grams, while 22-carat gold was priced at Rs 1,50,240 per 10 grams.
Bullion markets in Karnataka, Telangana and Odisha also witnessed a subdued trend in gold prices during early trading. In the capitals of these three states—Bengaluru, Hyderabad and Bhubaneswar—24-carat gold was trading at Rs 1,63,740 per 10 grams. Similarly, 22-carat gold was being sold at Rs 1,50,090 per 10 grams in the bullion markets of all three cities.
