Golaghat (Assam), 25 August (HS): At last, the woman Killed in Guwahati nearly 25 days after undergoing surgery at a nursing home in Golaghat, with her family alleging serious negligence on the part of the doctor who performed the procedure.

According to the family, Jyosmita Bora underwent surgery for a pancreatic condition at HGM Nursing Home in Golaghat town on July 25. They alleged that the doctor made an incision of nearly one and a half feet in her abdomen in the name of performing the pancreatic surgery.

The surgery was reportedly performed by Dr Bhaskar Hazarika of Vivekananda Hospital under Numaligarh Refinery Limited.

Jyosmita was later shifted to Guwahati for treatment. However, she died while undergoing treatment there, around 25 days after the surgery.

Her family has levelled allegations against Dr Bhaskar Hazarika and raised questions over the treatment and surgical procedure. Further details regarding the allegations and any official response from the doctor or the nursing home were not immediately available.-----------
