
Jammu, 25 August (H.S.): Two individuals were arrested from Tamil Nadu in connection with the alleged misappropriation of gold ornaments worth approximately Rs 16 lakh by workers of a jewellery shop at Kali Janni area of the Jammu district, officials said
They said an FIR number 120/2026 under sections 306/3(5) of the BNS was registered at Pacca Danga Police Station on August 8 after one Arun Sethi lodged a written complaint alleging theft in his shop near Hanuman Gali, Kali Janni area.
Following the registration of the case, officials said teams of Pacca Danga Police and ESI North Zone under the supervision of SHO Pacca Danga and incharge Police Post Chowk Chabutra conducted raids in Punjab, Uttar Pradesh and Tamil Nadu using technical and human intelligence.
Accordingly, the accused, identified as Rahul and Raj Kumar, both residents of Unnao, Uttar Pradesh were arrested from Tamil Nadu, the officials said.
