Hooghly, 25 August (H.S.): BJP national general secretary Sunil Bansal visited Serampore on Tuesday and inaugurated the ‘Subhas Chandra Bose Seva Kendra’. Addressing the gathering, Bansal said that the “mafia raj” in West Bengal would be completely eliminated in the coming months and that the state government would function on the basis of a clear ideology.

Bansal said similar Seva Kendras have been established in every Assembly constituency with the objective of ensuring that people have access to various welfare schemes of both the state and Central governments.

He said the centres would not only serve as a platform to provide information about government schemes but would also work towards addressing the grievances and problems faced by local residents. Public complaints would be taken up with the concerned authorities for necessary action, he added.

Local MLA and minister Bhaskar Bhattacharya, minister Suman Sarkar, MLAs Dilip Singh and Tushar Majumdar, along with a large number of BJP leaders and workers, were present at the inauguration programme.

BJP leaders said such Seva Kendras would act as an important link between the public and the administration and help ensure that government schemes and services reach more people.
