Sonitpur (Assam), 25 August (HS): A gruesome murder has been reported from the Chopai Tea Estate in Dhekiajuli, where a man was allegedly beaten to death by his own son following a dispute over ₹200.

The deceased has been identified as Samson Guria, while his son, Alexius Guria, is accused of killing him by repeatedly assaulting him with an iron object at the New Line area of the tea garden.

According to reports, the incident was allegedly triggered by a dispute over ₹200. Alexius had reportedly pawned his bicycle for ₹200, following which an altercation took place between the father and son.

The incident has sparked widespread outrage in the area. Police have initiated an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the killing.------------
