Bhubaneswar, 25 August (H.S.): The Seventh Session of the 17th Odisha Legislative Assembly will commence on September 22 and continue until October 3, according to the provisional calendar of sittings released by the Assembly Secretariat on Tuesday.

The Monsoon Session will have nine business days, with one holiday and two “No Meeting Days” scheduled during the period.

The session will begin on September 22, followed by official business on September 23 and 24. September 25 has been earmarked for Private Members’ Business, including consideration of Bills and Resolutions.

The Assembly will observe “No Meeting Days” on September 26 and 27, before proceedings resume on September 28. Official business will be taken up on September 28, 29 and 30, as well as October 1.

The House will remain closed on October 2 on account of Gandhi Jayanti. The Monsoon Session will conclude on October 3.
