Students received mantra of success, skill and determination

at initiation ceremony

New students started new journey of higher education at

Sanskriti University

Lucknow/Mathura, 25 Aug (HS): Kapil Dev Agarwal, Minister of

State (Independent Charge) for Vocational Education, Skill Development and

Entrepreneurship, attended the Convocation Ceremony organized by Sanskriti

University, Mathura, as the chief guest. He welcomed the newly admitted

students and wished them a bright future.

Addressing the ceremony, Minister Kapil Dev Agarwal said

that success in life begins primarily with our mind and thinking. If the

mind loses, it's a loss; if the mind wins, it's a win isn't just a

saying, but a fundamental mantra for moving forward in life. If students are

determined to achieve their goals, success can be achieved, no matter how

challenging the circumstances. He said that university life after 12th grade

marks the beginning of a new journey for students. The next three to four years

are crucial years of their lives. During this time, students shouldn't limit

themselves to just earning a degree, but should focus on learning new things,

experimenting, identifying their interests, and developing new skills.

Minister Agarwal told the students that their parents have

big dreams for them. They are providing them with a better education using

their hard-earned money. Therefore, it is the students' responsibility to

fulfill their parents' dreams through their determination and hard work. He

said that today is not just a time for degrees, but for knowledge, skills, and

innovation. Students should learn a new skill each year in addition to their

regular curriculum. They can strengthen their practical knowledge by joining

online courses, apprenticeships, and industry-based training.

Minister Agarwal said that today, employment patterns are

rapidly changing. Students should not limit themselves to just getting a job,

but should also pursue employment creation through entrepreneurship and

startups. He urged students to bring their new ideas to the table, saying that

if a university student has a good idea, they should share it with their

faculty and work to implement it. A small idea can blossom into a major

enterprise in the future. He said that a degree can open doors to opportunity,

but skills transform that opportunity into success. Therefore, students should

focus on gaining expertise in their field, as well as developing communication,

soft skills, and practical knowledge.

On this occasion, Chancellor of the University Dr. Sachin

Gupta, Vice Chancellor Dr. M.B. Chetty, Dr. Meenakshi Sharma along with

university teachers and a large number of students were present.
