Sambhal, 25 Aug (HS): On Tuesday, the Civil Judge Senior

Division, while hearing the petition claiming that Shahi Jama Masjid, located

in the Sadar tehsil area of Sambhal district in Uttar Pradesh, is Harihar

temple, fixed the next date as September 29.

The petition claiming that Shahi Jama Masjid, located in

Sadar Tehsil area, is Harihar Temple, was heard in the court of Civil Judge

Senior Division Aditya Singh in the district court on August 25. However, due

to a stay order from the Supreme Court, the court has fixed the next date for

hearing in this case as September 29.

It is noteworthy that a petition claiming that the Jama

Masjid of Sambhal is Harihar Temple was filed on 19 November 2024 in the Civil

Judge Senior Division, which was to be heard on Tuesday. Before this, the last

hearing was held on 21 July in the court of Civil Judge Senior Division Aditya

Singh. In the hearing held today, the court has fixed the next date of hearing

in this case as 29 September. Advocate Shri Gopal Sharma of the Hindu side said

that since there is a stay of the Supreme Court in it, no action has been

taken. The next date has been fixed as 29 September.

They went to the High Court to challenge the decision and

order of the suit we filed on November 19, 2024. The High Court deferred it to

May 18, 2025, meaning they considered the order of the Civil Judge, Senior

Division, Sambhal, valid. So, they went to the Supreme Court to challenge the

High Court's order. That too has been challenged.

Advocate Shakeel Ahmed Warsi, representing the Shahi Jama

Masjid side, stated that a date has been set for the case. The date is

September 29, and the Supreme Court is hearing the case today.
