New Delhi, 25 August (H.S.): A meeting was held at the Delhi Secretariat on Tuesday under the chairmanship of Chief Minister Rekha Gupta with members of the Construction Industry Rescue Front and representatives of the construction sector. Delhi Environment Minister Manjinder Singh Sirsa was also present at the meeting.

In a post on social media platform X, Chief Minister Rekha Gupta said she met members of the Construction Industry Rescue Front and representatives of the construction sector to hear their concerns and suggestions regarding construction activities during the implementation of the Graded Response Action Plan (GRAP).

She said that both a clean environment and sustainable development were essential for Delhi. The government and the industry would work together to find practical solutions that would make pollution-control measures effective while ensuring that employment and the pace of development continued.

Environment Minister Manjinder Singh Sirsa said in a post on X that the meeting also included detailed discussions on taking forward Delhi’s Master Plan 2047 and preparing the national capital for the future.

The meeting also focused on issues and suggestions related to construction activities during GRAP, along with measures to reduce pollution. Sirsa said the government was working to maintain a better balance between development and environmental protection while ensuring that the construction sector continued to progress.
