Guwahati, 25 August (HS): Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma has reportedly received a third death threat within 10 days, with a fresh threat surfacing on social media.

The latest threat was allegedly issued by a person identified as Mobarak Ali of Juria in Nagaon district. According to the claims circulating on social media, Ali allegedly threatened to kill the Chief Minister during an election campaign meeting for the Nagaon Lok Sabha constituency by-election.

The social media posts allegedly also contained slogans such as “Pakistan Zindabad” and “Hindustan Murdabad.”

The fresh threat comes after two earlier death threats against the Assam Chief Minister in the past 10 days. Authorities are expected to examine the social media content and verify the identity and claims of the person behind the alleged threat.---------------
