New Delhi, 24 August (H.S.):

Union Minister of State for Law and Justice Arjun Ram Meghwal will present awards on Tuesday to students from the national capital who excelled in the 58th Youth Parliament Competition 2025-26. The award recipients include students from schools under the Directorate of Education, Delhi, and the Education Department of the New Delhi Municipal Council (NDMC).

According to the Ministry of Parliamentary Affairs, the awards will be presented at the G.M.C. Balayogi Auditorium in the Parliament House. Bal Bharati Public School on Parwana Road in Pitampura secured first place in the competition. In addition, 11 other schools that delivered outstanding performances will be presented with Merit Trophies.

The Youth Parliament Competition aims to cultivate self-discipline, tolerance towards differing viewpoints, the fair and balanced expression of ideas, and other values associated with a democratic way of life among the younger generation. The programme also seeks to foster confidence, leadership qualities, effective public speaking and other essential skills among students.

It is noteworthy that the 58th edition of the Youth Parliament Competition was organised across the National Capital Territory of Delhi during 2025-26 under the Youth Parliament Competition programme.

The 11 participating schools in the national capital are Dr B.R. Ambedkar CM Shri School, Sector 22, Dwarka; Navyug School, Peshwa Road; Presentation Convent Senior Secondary School, S.P. Mukherjee Marg; Baba Neem Karoli Sarvodaya Kanya Vidyalaya (BNKSKV), Jonapur; Sarvodaya Kanya Vidyalaya, Prahladpur; Sarvodaya Bal Vidyalaya No. 1, Urdu Medium, Jama Masjid; Atal Adarsh Vidyalaya, Gol Market; Dr B.R. Ambedkar CM Shri School, Sector 17, Rohini; Sarvodaya Kanya Vidyalaya No. 1, Yamuna Vihar, C-Block; Ishani Sarvodaya Kanya Vidyalaya, G-Block, Saket; and Kerala Senior Secondary School, Vikas Puri.
