New Delhi, 24 August (H.S.): Union Home and Cooperation Minister Amit Shah extended his heartfelt greetings and best wishes to all Gujarati brothers and sisters on the occasion of World Gujarati Language Day.
In a post on X, Shah wrote, “From the devotional hymns of Narsinh Mehta to the powerful poetry of poet Narmad, the Gujarati language has given India an invaluable literary and cultural heritage. Woven from the sweetness of devotion, knowledge and folk life, the language continues to keep Gujaratis living in every corner of the world connected to their roots. On this occasion, let us resolve not only to preserve and enrich our mother tongue but also all Indian languages.”
