New Delhi, 24 August (H.S.): International Cricket Council (ICC) Chairman Jay Shah met Delhi and District Cricket Association (DDCA) President Rohan Jaitley and paid tribute to former DDCA president and late Union minister Arun Jaitley on the eve of his seventh death anniversary.

Jay Shah honoured Arun Jaitley’s enduring legacy and described him as a visionary leader, statesman and a true source of inspiration for Indian cricket administration. During the meeting, the two leaders discussed Jaitley’s transformative contribution to Delhi cricket and his significant role in laying the foundation for modern cricket infrastructure in the national capital.

The Delhi Premier League 2026 (DPL) is currently being held at the Arun Jaitley Stadium in New Delhi. The tournament is regarded as a fitting tribute to Jaitley’s vision of nurturing grassroots talent and providing young cricketers from Delhi with a prominent platform to showcase their skills.

On the occasion, DDCA President Rohan Jaitley expressed his heartfelt gratitude to Jay Shah for the gesture and reiterated the association’s commitment to upholding the principles and vision of late Arun Jaitley for the continued growth and development of cricket in the national capital.
