Rae Bareli, 24 Aug (HS): On Monday, Uttar Pradesh Chief

Minister Yogi Adityanath attended the 'Bhav Samarpan Samaroh' at Rae Bareli,

which commemorated the 222nd birth anniversary of the great freedom warrior of

1857, Rana Beni Madhav Bakhsh Singh, and opened a new auditorium named after

him. During his visit to Rae Bareli, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath launched

development projects costing around Rs 879 crore and paid respect to Rana Beni

Madhav Bakhsh Singh.

“The First War of Independence of 1857 is incomplete without

Uttar Pradesh. Rana Beni Madhav Bakhsh Singh Ji led this entire movement in the

Awadh region,” said Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on the 222nd

birth anniversary of Rana Beni Madhav Baksh Singh, the immortal hero of the

First War of Independence and the lion of Awadh, the 'Bhaav Samarpan Samaroh'

organized in Raebareli district.

“On the birth anniversary of Rana Beni Madhav Baksh Singh,

the immortal warrior of the First War of Independence and a symbol of

indomitable courage and patriotism, humble tributes. His unparalleled valor,

sacrifice, and martyrdom for the freedom of the motherland are an invaluable

treasure of the nation. His inspiring life will continue to awaken the spirit

of national service and self-respect in every Indian,” he remarked in a post on

X.

Rana Beni Madhav Baksh Singh was a notable hero of the first

liberation fight in 1857, as well as a legendary warrior from the Awadh area

(Shankarpur of Raebareli) who fought valiantly against the British. On the

occasion of his birth anniversary, the Chief Minister opened the 'Rana Beni

Madhav Baksh Singh Auditorium' at Rae Bareli.

“Today, on the 222nd birth anniversary of the

immortal hero of the First War of Independence of 1857, 'Awadh Kesari' Rana

Beni Madhav Baksh Singh Ji, I will pay homage to his unparalleled valor,

self-respect, and patriotism at the 'Bhav Samarpan Samaroh' organized in the

revolutionary land of Raebareli. On this occasion, the inauguration of the

newly constructed 'Rana Beni Madhav Baksh Singh Memorial Auditorium' costing

over Rs. 21 crore, the honoring of families of freedom struggle fighters and

martyrs, and the release of the 'Awadh Kesari Souvenir' and special cover will

take place. Thereafter, along with the inauguration/foundation stone laying of

346 development projects costing over Rs. 879 crore in the Raebareli,

Bachhrawan, and Harchandpur Assembly constituencies, Rs. 19 crore will be

transferred to beneficiaries of various schemes through DBT, and Ayushman

cards, laptops, approval letters, and keys will be distributed. Meanwhile,

residential plots will be allotted to more than 60 housing-less families from

the Sapera community and other sections.

May this sacred land of 'Awadh Kesari's valor and

self-respect continue to write new chapters of development, public welfare, and

prosperity with respect for its heritage—this is our resolve,” he stated in a

post on X.
