
New Delhi, 24 August (H.S.): President Droupadi Murmu on Monday received the credentials of ambassadors and a high commissioner from six countries at Rashtrapati Bhavan. The diplomats represented South Sudan, the United Arab Emirates, Nigeria, Moldova, Germany and Sweden.
According to Rashtrapati Bhavan, the credentials were presented at a ceremony held at the Presidential residence by Sitona Abdulla Osman, Ambassador of South Sudan; Abdullah Saif Ali Sulaim Al Nuaimi, Ambassador of the United Arab Emirates; Muhammad Saidu Dahiru, High Commissioner of Nigeria; and Inga Ionesii, Ambassador of Moldova.
In addition, Dr. Jasper Wieck, Ambassador of Germany, and Petra Menander, Ambassador of Sweden, also presented their credentials to President Murmu.
The presentation of credentials marked the formal commencement of the diplomatic representatives' assignments in India.
