Lucknow, 24 Aug (HS): Uttar Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister

Keshav Prasad Maurya met with citizens from various districts of the state and

listened to their problems during a public hearing at his camp office,

7-Kalidas Marg, Lucknow, on Monday. He interacted cordially with each

complainant, obtaining detailed information about their problems and issues,

and directed the concerned officials to ensure timely, fair, and satisfactory

resolution.

A large number of citizens from nearly two dozen districts

of the state arrived at the Janta Darshan program with their problems. The

Deputy Chief Minister personally reached out to the people and listened to each

complainant with seriousness and sensitivity.

On this occasion, cases related to various subjects,

including land and revenue disputes, illegal occupation, medical assistance,

pensions, housing, roads, electricity, drinking water, police administration,

education, and employment, were presented before the Deputy Chief Minister.

Taking cognizance of all the cases, Maurya directed the officials of the

concerned departments to take effective action on a priority basis.

Keshav Prasad Maurya said that Janta Darshan is a powerful

medium of trust and communication between the government and the public.

Listening to public problems, resolving them, and providing benefits of

government schemes to eligible people is the government's priority.

Maurya gave clear instructions to officials that every

complaint should be resolved not as a mere formality, but to the satisfaction

of the complainant. He stated that negligence, indifference, or unnecessary

delay in resolving public problems will not be tolerated under any

circumstances. Negligent officers and employees will be held accountable.

He specifically directed that the problems of women, the

disabled, senior citizens, and the needy be addressed on a priority basis. He

said that sensitive, transparent, and accountable administration is the

hallmark of good governance. Taking a serious view of the matters related to

land disputes and illegal encroachments, the Deputy Chief Minister directed the

concerned District Magistrates and Police Officers to ensure fair action by

conducting on-the-spot investigation through a joint team of Revenue and Police

Department.

During Janta Darshan, Deputy Chief Minister Maurya spoke to

the District Magistrates and senior police officers of many districts over

telephone and gave necessary instructions regarding the disposal of complaints.
