Hyderabad, 24 August (H.S.): Telangana Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy returned to Hyderabad on Monday after concluding his three-day visit to the United Kingdom, during which he met representatives of the University of Cambridge, the University of Oxford and several other reputed academic and research institutions to explore avenues for cooperation in education, research and innovation in Telangana.

During the Chief Minister’s visit, several leading institutions, including the University of Cambridge and Imperial College London, expressed interest in exploring opportunities for collaboration with Telangana across various sectors. The discussions focused on academic exchanges, research, innovation and creating globally competitive opportunities for the state’s youth.

Revanth Reddy had departed for the United Kingdom on August 20. His itinerary had also included a planned visit to the United States, but after the Centre did not grant permission for the US leg of the trip, he decided to curtail his overseas visit and return to India.

On Sunday, the Chief Minister indicated in a post on social media platform X that he would give priority to pending matters concerning the state upon his return to Hyderabad. With his return, the state government is now expected to step up its focus on pending administrative and political issues.
