Prayagraj, 24 Aug (HS): A special thanksgiving service was

held on Monday at All Saints Cathedral (Pathar Church), to commemorate the

extension of the ministry of Bishop Morris Edgar Dan. The main theme of this

spiritual gathering was “This is what the Lord has done; it is marvelous in our

eyes” (Matthew 21:42). The program began with a call of worship by Rev. Dr.

Vinita Esubius, Presbyter-in-Charge of All Saints Cathedral. This was followed

by the reading of the Holy Scriptures from the Old Testament of the Bible, the

Psalms, by Rev. Jitendra Nath.

The congregation present expressed their gratitude to God

through devotional hymns. Rev. Roshan Lal, Vice-President of the Diocese of

Lucknow, delivered a special prayer of thanksgiving on this occasion.

They expressed gratitude to God, praising Bishop Morris

Edgar Dan's life, dedicated ministry, unwavering faith, and compassion. They

also prayed for God's grace, strength, and guidance for the Bishop's future

tenure. During the worship service, Rev. John Stephen offered a prayer of

praise, and Rev. Dr. Vinita Esubius led the Apostles' Creed. In

addition, Rev. Praveen Massey and Rev. Ajit Oliver Francis, along with other

pastors and believers, offered a collective prayer for the Bishop's good

health, long life, and a fruitful service. At the end of the program, Bishop

Morris Dan offered a prayer of blessing for the Church. The program was attended

by congregations and pastors from almost all the churches in the Diocese of

Lucknow.

Rev. Praveen Massey said in his message that this is the

Lord's work and it is wonderful for us. He called on the faithful to live a

life of gratitude, love, kindness and service, and to participate in the

expansion of the Lord's kingdom. This is the Lord's work; it is wonderful

in our eyes. God used my life for service and has given me the opportunity to

serve His Church even now, he said. Let us thank the Lord for this grace.

Let us keep gratitude in our hearts, live lives of love and mercy, and advance

the Lord's kingdom by serving the vulnerable. May the Lord's grace and peace be

with you all.

Rakesh Chhatri read out Bishop Morris Edgar Dan's message on

this occasion: In his spiritual message, Bishop Morris Edgar Dan underlined the

importance of gratitude, faith and dedicated service to God. Inspiring the

Christian community present, he said that we should strengthen our spiritual

life and live our lives with constant devotion to God. Pastors (priests) of

various churches under the Diocese of Lucknow, officials of the Church

Committee and many dignitaries of the society were mainly present in this

august ceremony. The program concluded with traditional blessings and group

prayer.

In the thanksgiving program of the Lord, mainly
