New Delhi, 24 August (H.S.): Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) Central Office in-charge Tarun Chugh paid tribute to former Union Finance Minister and eminent lawyer Arun Jaitley on his death anniversary.

In a post on social media platform X on Monday, Chugh paid his respects to Jaitley, describing him as a distinguished statesman, astute strategist, powerful orator, eminent lawyer and former Finance Minister. He said Jaitley’s unwavering commitment to the nation, ideals and thoughts would continue to inspire people, while his unforgettable memories would always remain with them.

Jaitley was among the prominent leaders of Indian politics and had held several important positions, including that of Union Finance Minister. He was widely regarded as an influential political leader, scholar and prominent figure in the legal profession.

Arun Jaitley passed away on August 24, 2019.
