Prime Video has announced the global premiere of its upcoming Original film ‘Don’t Be Shy’. Written and directed by Sreeti Mukerji, the young-adult romantic comedy will begin streaming on Prime Video on September 25, 2026. The film has been produced by Alia Bhatt and Shaheen Bhatt under their banner Eternal Sunshine Productions, with Grishma Shah and Vikesh Bhutani serving as co-producers.

‘Don’t Be Shy’ introduces four new actors — Aarushi Bajaj, Ansh Duggal, Bianca Arora and Piyush Khati — in the lead roles. The film follows young people navigating friendship, first love, heartbreak, dreams and the journey of understanding themselves. Kunal Roy Kapur, Anurag Basu, Neha Dhupia and Anju Alva Naik will also appear in important roles.

The film explores relationships, emotions and the uncertainties that accompany growing up, presenting the experiences of young adulthood through a light-hearted and entertaining narrative.

Nikhil Madhok, Director and Head of Originals at Prime Video and Amazon MGM Studios India, described the film as a celebration of friendship, love and the journey of growing up.

Alia and Shaheen Bhatt said the project had been special to them from the very beginning and praised the young cast for bringing freshness and authenticity to their respective characters.

‘Don’t Be Shy’ will be available to audiences in Hindi with English subtitles on Prime Video from September 25, 2026.
