On Sunday, August 23, the tenth day of the bright fortnight

of Shravan, the flag on the top of the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Temple in Ram

Nagari was replaced. Following religious traditions and rituals, the new flag

was hoisted. The view from the heights was truly captivating. The Shri Ram

Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust has released photos and videos of the new

the temple surfaced. The grand appearance of the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi temple

complex was also on display during the hoisting of the new flag atop the Ram

temple. The vastness of the temple complex and the grandeur of its construction

were clearly visible in the photos and videos taken from a height.

The new flag fluttering atop the peak has become a center of

attraction in the religious atmosphere of Ramnagari. The flag change during the

month of Shravan is being seen as part of the temple's regular religious traditions.

Devotees were also aroused by the panoramic views of the temple complex.

Earlier, on November 25, 2025, during the Abhijit Muhurta

(time of the auspicious time), the Dharmadhwaja (the flag) was formally hoisted

at the top of the Shri Ram Temple in the presence of Prime Minister Narendra

Modi. The Dharmadhwaja ceremony was held in a grand manner at the Shri Ram

Temple. The right-angled triangular Dharmadhwaja is 10 feet high and 20 feet

long. The radiant sun engraved on the flag is considered a symbol of Lord Ram's

brilliance and valor.

'Om' symbol on the flag and Kovidar tree: The flag also

bears the symbol of 'Om' and the motif of the Kovidar tree. This sacred flag

conveys the message of dignity, unity, and cultural continuity and is

considered a symbol of the ideals of Ramrajya. This Dharma Dhwaj will be

hoisted on the 'Shikhar' of the temple, built in the traditional North Indian

Nagara style, while the approximately 800-meter-long wall surrounding it is

designed in South Indian architecture, reflecting the architectural diversity

of the temple.

When the flag was hoisted on November 25, 2025, Chief

Minister Yogi Adityanath began his speech with chants of Siyavar

Ramchandra Bhagwan, Mata Janaki, Saryu Maiya ki

Jai, Bharat Mata ki Jai, and Har Har Mahadev.

Along with Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, the entire temple complex resounded

with cheers. CM Yogi Adityanath stated that the flag hoisting is not the

culmination of a yagna but the beginning of a new era. The magnificent temple

of Lord Shri Ram symbolizes the faith, honor, and self-respect of 1.4 billion

Indians. He stated that this event is dedicated to the unwavering devotion and

struggle of revered saints, warriors, and devotees of Shri Ram, who sacrificed

their lives for the movement and struggle.
