
Bhubaneswar, 23 August (H.S.): Union Minister for Ports, Shipping and Waterways Sarbananda Sonowal has expressed deep concern over an unfortunate incident involving the Panama-flagged cargo vessel MV Ocean Winner off the Odisha coast.
According to Sonowal, the vessel was carrying iron ore from Paradip Port to China when the incident occurred. He said all concerned agencies are coordinating closely and undertaking search and rescue operations to locate and assist the remaining crew members.
The Union Minister said two survivors have been successfully rescued and are currently receiving medical treatment. Their ranks and identities are being verified, he added.
Expressing concern for the crew, Sonowal prayed for the safety of those who remain unaccounted for and said coordinated efforts are continuing to ensure their rescue and safety.
