Ukhrul (Manipur), 23 August (HS): A team of Ukhrul Police Station detained two persons after recovering 114 litres of DIC liquor and a Maruti A-Star four-wheeler from their possession, police informed on Sunday.

The detained individuals were identified as 32-year-old Thuingam Vashum, son of Vareichon Vashum of Talui Village, and 32-year-old Daniel Zimik, son of late Wungnaopam Zimik of Maku Village.

Police also seized the Maruti A-Star bearing registration number MN 06LX 6421 in connection with the recovery. Further legal proceedings are underway.----------
