The interns will also get an opportunity to understand the functioning of Government, gain practical exposure to public administration and learn how policies and development programmes are implemented. They will be assigned departments according to their skills and interests.
Lieutenant Governor Vinai Kumar Saxena said the initiative would provide young people with an avenue to serve Ladakh while contributing their ideas and energy towards addressing local challenges.
With a large portion of our population under 30, I am confident that their ideas and energy would strengthen and enrich each of these departments, he said, adding that the initiative would help Ladakh demonstrate how the government and youth can work together for development.
The Lieutenant Governor said Ladakh's youth were its greatest strength and their participation would be important in shaping the region's future and contributing towards the vision of Viksit Bharat@2047.
