
Jaunpur, 22 Aug (HS): The foundation stone of the
development work approved in the financial year 2025-26 under the
Infrastructure Fund was laid on Saturday in the Collectorate premises in
Jaunpur, UP. Minister of State Independent Charge Sports and Youth Welfare
Girish Chandra Yadav laid the foundation stone of 250 meter interlocking and
drain construction work from Vikas Bhawan to the District Panchayat office. This
development work will cost Rs 53.12 lakh. The executing agency is Uttar Pradesh
Housing and Development Council. After the completion of the construction work,
not only will the movement in the Collectorate premises become easier but the
drainage system will also improve.
During the foundation stone laying ceremony, Minister of
State Girish Chandra Yadav said that under the leadership of Chief Minister
Yogi Adityanath, the state government is prioritizing development works and
providing better basic amenities in cities and government complexes. He said
that continuous work is being done in Jaunpur to expand basic amenities
including roads, drains, and drainage. This work being done in the Collectorate
complex will prove convenient for employees, officials, and the general public
visiting the complex. He said that the government's objective is to ensure that
development works are completed with quality and timeliness and provide direct
benefits to the general public. The construction of interlocking and drains in
the Collectorate complex will not only reduce the problem of waterlogging but
will also improve the complex's arrangements.
