Rome, 22 August (H.S.): Liverpool midfielder Curtis Jones has completed his move to Inter Milan, becoming the third English player to join the Italian club this summer.

The 25-year-old Jones is set to play outside England for the first time after spending 16 years at Liverpool. At Inter Milan, he will join fellow English players John Stones and Djed Spence. Jones will become the sixth Englishman in Inter’s history to represent the club.

Inter Milan said in a statement that a “new and exciting challenge” now awaits Jones and that he will begin the next chapter of his career with the same confidence that has accompanied him throughout his journey.

According to media reports, the transfer is worth around 35 million euros, approximately $40.8 million.

Emotional Farewell to Liverpool

Jones bid an emotional farewell to Liverpool in a post on Instagram, saying that after 16 years, the time had come to say goodbye.

He said he had joined Liverpool as a child with the dream of playing for the club and felt fortunate to have had the opportunity to turn that dream into reality. Jones added that Liverpool would always remain a major part of his life.

Inter Milan will begin their Serie A campaign for the new season on Saturday with a match against Monza.
