Lucknow, 22 Aug (HS): These days, Chavanni
politics is taking place in Uttar Pradesh. A few days ago, SP chief
Akhilesh Yadav, without naming his former ally, made a statement about RLD
president Jayant Chaudhary. He said, We turned him from twenty paisa into
a rupee, yet he left us. This statement initially drew a sharp retort
from RLD. Now, BSP supremo Mayawati has also demanded that Akhilesh Yadav
apologize to the entire Jat community on this issue.
Mayawati wrote a lengthy 6-point post on this issue on her X
account on Saturday morning. She wrote - As is well known, the Samajwadi Party
(SP) chief's public statement about his old ally Rashtriya Lok Dal and that
party's leader, a Union Minister, that 'we have made them from 25 paise to a rupee',
is completely indecent, unbecoming and extremely shameful. It would be
appropriate if he immediately apologizes not only to that party and its leader
for such arrogant and undemocratic statements, but also to the entire Jat
community for insulting the family of late Chaudhary Charan Singh.
'SP always unpleasant for allies': The BSP chief further
wrote - In the country's politics, the conduct, character and face of the SP
has always been mostly unpleasant and unreliable, plagued by political
narrow-mindedness and casteist hatred, not only for its rival parties but also
for its allies, due to which the BJP has been taking political and electoral
advantage of it on most occasions and the secular forces have been weakening.
Guest house incident remembered again: Mayawati once again
recalled the guest house incident. She further wrote, It was because of
this party's over-egoistic nature that the SP and BSP alliance formed with
Mulayam Singh Yadav in UP in 1993 quickly broke down, leading to the infamous
Lucknow State Guest House incident on June 2, 1995, as part of a conspiracy to
assassinate me.
Mayawati rules out alliance with Akhilesh: According to the
BSP chief, a Lok Sabha election alliance was formed, with son Akhilesh Yadav
promising not to repeat his father's past mistakes. Shortly after, when the
election results didn't go his way, he adopted an arrogant and selfish attitude
towards the BSP. Consequently, this alliance also broke down. The BSP, a party
that carries the self-respect and self-esteem of Baba Saheb Dr. Bhimrao
Ambedkar, and its leadership can never deviate from the Ambedkarite policies
and principles of Sarvajana Hitaya and Sarvajana Sukhaya (for the welfare
of all).
SP compared to chameleon: Mayawati continued her attacks on
the Samajwadi Party (SP). She wrote, This party (SP) only knows how to
get its work done in alliances. Once its work is done, it changes its colors
like a chameleon and uses abusive language against other parties, a
long-standing practice of the SP. Therefore, people from all walks of life
should be wary of the SP's narrow and casteist politics.
Tight on PDA: The BSP supremo also took a dig at the PDA
slogan. She wrote, It is well known that for his own political interests,
SP chief Akhilesh Yadav sometimes calls the P in his PDA a benefactor of the
backward classes, and sometimes the P a benefactor of the Pandits. However, the
truth about him is that apart from his own caste, he has never been a
benefactor of the other backward classes, minorities, or the upper caste
community, especially the Brahmin community.
'Brahmin community was exploited during SP governments': In
her post, Mayawati concludes, Not only this, but in all the governments
of this party (SP), Dalits, backward classes, minorities, and the upper caste
community, especially the Brahmin community, have been subjected to extensive
exploitation and oppression. Not only have any positive steps been taken in
their interests, but in fact, only goons, criminals, mafias, and other lawless
elements have benefited under their government. Furthermore, under their
government, our sisters and daughters were unable to leave their homes after
dark. Therefore, people from all walks of life should ensure that this party
(SP) does not come to power in the upcoming UP assembly elections, which will
be in their best interest.
