
Mathura, 22 Aug (HS): A high-level delegation of the Indian
Medical Association (IMA), Uttar Pradesh, led by Dr. (Professor) Sharad Kumar
Agarwal, Pro-Vice Chancellor of KM University, Mathura and Dean and Medical
Director of Medical College and Hospital, paid a courtesy call on Chief
Minister Yogi Adityanath in Lucknow on Saturday.
The Pro-Vice Chancellor of KM University drew the Chief
Minister's attention to several important issues related to the state's medical
and health sector. During the meeting, the delegation expressed special thanks
to Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath for his continued support for the safety of
doctors and medical personnel and for maintaining law and order in the state.
Regarding registration and license periods, the decision to
change the annual registration period for doctors to five years and to
implement a five-year renewal period for pollution licenses was welcomed. The
government was thanked for this important step.
Following talks with the Chief Minister, the delegation led
by Dr. Sharad Kumar Agrawal met with Dr. Arun Kumar Saxena, Uttar Pradesh's
Minister of Forests and Environment, at his office. The delegation included Dr.
Sharad Kumar Agrawal, National President, IMA Headquarters and Patron, IMA UP
State, Dr. Rajiv Goyal, State IMA President, Dr. Rabeesh Agrawal,
President-Elect, Dr. Shweta Srivastava, Branch Secretary, IMA Lucknow, and
others.
