Hooghly, 22 August (H.S.): West Bengal Minister of State for Public Health Engineering and Labour Bhaskar Bhattacharya on Saturday expressed concern over what he described as anti-India forces and a “deep state” allegedly attempting to mislead the country’s youth.

In a post on Facebook, Bhattacharya alleged that, similar to what he claimed had happened in Bangladesh, attempts were now being made to divert Indian youth in the wrong direction.

The minister said the country needed to think deeply about what agenda was allegedly operating behind what he referred to as the “Cockroach Party”. He claimed that anti-India forces from outside the country were attempting to influence and mislead India’s youth.

Bhattacharya further alleged that such forces wanted to prevent India from strengthening its position and that the future of the country’s youth was directly linked to the issue.

Referring to Bangladesh, the minister claimed that after damaging the country’s future, the alleged “deep state” had now turned its attention towards India. He said such attempts would not be allowed to succeed and stressed the need to remain vigilant about the future of India and its youth.

However, Bhattacharya did not provide detailed evidence or specific facts in his post to substantiate his allegations concerning the “Cockroach Party” or the alleged “deep state”.
