Bhubaneswar, 22 August (H.S.): Odisha Health Minister Dr. Mukesh Mahalinga visited the National Forensic Sciences University (NFSU) campus in Gandhinagar, Gujarat, to explore advanced facilities in digital forensics, investigative psychology and DNA forensics.

During his visit, Mahalinga held an extensive discussion with Campus Director Prof. (Dr.) S.O. Junare and heads of various departments on modern technologies and approaches to strengthen and modernise crime investigation techniques.

Sharing details of his visit on social media, the minister said he was impressed by NFSU's advanced forensic capabilities and its role in supporting India's criminal justice system.

Mahalinga said that under the vision of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the guidance of Union Home Minister Amit Shah, NFSU is playing a significant role in strengthening the country's justice delivery system and improving conviction rates through the effective use of forensic science.

He described NFSU as the world's first and only university dedicated exclusively to forensic sciences and highlighted its importance in addressing technology-driven crimes through advanced scientific investigation.
