Hooghly, 21 August (H.S.): A large number of women gathered at the Netaji Subhas Seva Kendra in Chinsurah on Friday after receiving a monthly financial assistance of Rs 3,000 under the Annapurna Bhandar scheme. Several beneficiary women expressed their gratitude to BJP MLA Subir Nag by presenting him with flowers and sweets.

During the programme, MLA Subir Nag interacted with the women who had gathered at the service centre and congratulated them on receiving the financial assistance under the scheme. The beneficiaries thanked the MLA and the government for the support being provided through the scheme.

Nag said that the grievances of eligible beneficiaries who had not yet received the assistance for any reason would also be taken up seriously. He assured the beneficiaries that all possible assistance would be extended to ensure that no eligible person is deprived of government support.

The MLA further said that eligible beneficiaries who could not receive the assistance this month due to any reason would be provided all possible help so that they can avail themselves of the scheme's benefits from the following month.

The disbursement of the Annapurna Bhandar assistance brought visible excitement and happiness among the beneficiaries, with many women expressing their appreciation for the financial support.
