
Lucknow, 21 Aug (HS): Uttar Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister
Brajesh Pathak on Friday expressed his views on the possibilities of
cooperation between Uttar Pradesh and Japan in the field of healthcare and care
economy at the 'UP-Japan Investment Meet-2026' programme organised at Indira
Gandhi Pratishthan.
Brajesh Pathak stated that the partnership with Japan will
provide new impetus to the health sector in Uttar Pradesh. This partnership
will not only provide new impetus to the health sector in Uttar Pradesh but
will also prove crucial in opening new doors of skills, employment, and global
opportunities for the youth. He stated that the partnership with Japan can play
an important role in strengthening Uttar Pradesh's healthcare infrastructure,
providing geriatric care, skill development, modern technology, training, and
creating new employment opportunities.
The Deputy Chief Minister said that by combining the
experience, technical expertise and human resources of both the countries, a
strong ecosystem of quality health services, modern care system and trained
healthcare workforce can be developed. India-Japan partnership is a strong
foundation for new opportunities in the field of health, skill and service. On
this occasion, State Government Minister Anil Rajbhar, Minister of State with
Independent Charge Kapil Dev Agarwal, Additional Chief Secretary (Medical
Health and Family Welfare) Amit Kumar Ghosh, Principal Secretary Labour and
Employment Dr. M.K. Sundaram, Principal Secretary, Vocational Education, Skill
Development and Entrepreneurship Development Hariom, Mission Director of Uttar
Pradesh Skill Development Mission Pulkit Khare, Director, STEP Foundation Mansi
Kasliwal and representatives of Japan were present.
